DIY // Snail Mail // Create an Impromptu Craft Kit // No. 2

DIY // Snail Mail // Create an Impromptu Craft Kit // No. 2 This is snail mail I created last month for the Sweet Mail Exchange. I got a couple of questions about where to start, so I put together a snail mail tutorial. Today, I want to show you how I adapted the same basic methods to create this package for my pen pal, Mari.

Last week, I mentioned the Sweet Mail Exchange that's happening over at SSD. Today, I want to offer a couple of suggestions to get your own little parcel started as well as images from some sweet snail mail of my own that I put together over the weekend.

For the Love of Paper // DIY Mini Album Gift Set

DIY Mini Album Gift Set
There are so many cute mini album designs at the Silhouette shop. This design, by Lori Whitlock, is really creative; inside each mini book, are 5 little boxes and the entire set is housed in a box with room for 3 mini books. I plan to include accordion albums in some boxes and little notecard sets in others.

Below are more detailed images and a full supply list, including a link to the cute album page template I used above (by Danielle Thompson) ♥ ♥ ♥

How to Shadow Washi Tape in 3 Easy Steps
Happy Wednesday! Where does the time go? I can't believe the week is halfway done and I can't believe we're just days away from June!

I'm checking in right now with a quick tip on shadowing washi tapes in Photoshop--hopefully this will save a little time :) Check out the full blog post at SSD where I talk a little bit about my process putting together a scrapbook page.

Just a little preview of a project I want to share next week! I'm working on a little boxed set of albums and I'm just about done ♥

p.s. Isn't that the best dotted paper ever?

Oh Hello // AW Conqueror Slab // & // AW Conqueror Inline // Diecuts
Yesterday, on the Sweet Shoppe Designs blog, Heather posted a really great entry with tons of font suggestions for die cutting. I was really inspired by the font family AW Conqueror, so I sent over some images of customized die cut typography to include in the post.

Below are the Project Life layouts I was playing around with and I've also included tips on how to access and utilize the many OpenType features available for AW Conqueror. I know there were a couple questions on the forum about how to do this, so let me know if I can explain anything else ♥ ♥ ♥

DIY Valentine // 16x20 // Hubble Telescope Image // Diecut Typography
This is the valentine I gave Ray using an actual image from the Hubble Telescope. ♥

After downloading the image here, I printed it B+W and attached a diecut message reading "I Love You to the Moon and Back". Some of the photographs in the Hubble gallery are super large and can be made into huge murals, but I just printed mine 16x20 using 4 letter-sized sheets of paper.
